Every morning I'm greeted with a tiny little grin.
"Where's Donnie?" it asks as soon as I walk in.
A grin dressed in jammies and bare little feet.
It's voice so little, and so very sweet.
"Hi, Steppy.", it squeaks, "Wanna play in my room?"
How did that grin grow up so soon?
It used to be toothless and filled with a thumb.
Now it talks, sings, and chews bubble gum.
So many moments I'll never forget.
Three special years that have been the best.
